Intention
The project named « ENSEMBLE » (together) gathers three French persons belonging to three different inherited religious confessions, the Jewish one, the Christian one and the Muslim one. These three religions of the Book have the same ancestor, Abraham. This common core binds us with a fraternity which is beyond our own will. So we want to show that a communion is still possible, beyond these identities which make us different. We can share and bring attention to one another in joys and difficulties we will surely encounter during this 11000-km long walk.
Our steps will be this invisible bound which, beyond the hazards of History, binds us to a time when cohabitation within these three religions was lived with tolerance and open-mindedness.
Can History not be lived at the present time ?
Walking, free and inexhaustible energy, allows time for encounter. It leads to a solidarity between people and clears up social referents. It strips of superfluity. It is a way to humility.
